Kanva Dam

Kanva dam or Kanva reservoir is situated just 68kms from Bangalore in Ramanagar district which is constructed for Irrigation purpose.

Its a good place for the picnic as the area is not much crowded provided one carries their own food.
The location situated inside of a not so thick forest area and surrounded by decent mountains.

The drive towards the dam is very beautiful if take kunigal main road as it passes through villages.

The Forest Dept. of Karnataka is currently regulating this place and allows only two batches consisting of 40nos are allowed to enter the hill premises.
